SDE Investments LLC was organized around instruments most firms outsource — tax liens, royalties, mortgage paper — and around duties most firms outsource: fiduciary administration done in-house.

Why the firm exists.

We built SDE Investments on a simple observation: the instruments with the widest spreads — municipal liens, mineral royalties, mortgage paper, settlement interests — are also the ones that reward diligence most. So the principal desk deals them directly, for our own account.

The client side grew from the same conviction. Clients asked for advice unconflicted by product sales, so our advisory is fee-only by design. They asked for administration they could trust, so we built trust, escrow, custody, and transfer capabilities as a division, not an afterthought.

The firm is headquartered on Forrest Street in Sacramento — inside the state's capital economy and its deep municipal-lien market.
